US Navy maneuvers in South China Sea, launches two massive aircraft carriers

South China, Ta. 4. Saturday, July 2020

Amid India's confrontation with China on the Ladakh front, the US Navy has launched a large-scale military exercise in the South China Sea.

The United States has landed two of its largest aircraft carriers, the USS Nimitz and the USS Ronald Reagan, in the exercise, in response to China's grandfathering of the South China Sea.

Both ships are powered by nuclear power. They are joined by four other warships. The United States is demonstrating its capabilities to the fullest.

Significantly, the Chinese navy is also conducting exercises in the area. The Chinese navy is indirectly demonstrating its strength to threaten Taiwan and other neighboring countries, which the United States has been criticizing.

The U.S. Navy says the U.S. believes in an independent South China Sea and the Indo-Pacific region.
