These companies have already donated to the controversial Rajiv Gandhi Foundation

The Center has set up an inquiry committee to look into donations and other matters received by the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation following the controversy over the Gandhi family.

Which has caused a stir on the political front. On the other hand, a news channel has published a list of donors to the foundation.

This list contains the names of a number of companies. like,

Reliance Industries,

Sutlej Textile Ltd.,

Indian Melting and Refining Company,

TVS motor,

Unitech Wireless,

GVK Industries,

Mahindra & Mahindra,

National Self Employment Mission,

Companies like ONGC have made donations.

The BJP has also alleged that fugitive Mehul Choksi also gave large sums of money to the foundation. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

The foundation came under discussion after details surfaced that donations had been made to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation in the past by the Chinese embassy.

The Congress has termed the probe order by the Center as a conspiracy and said that the Congress party will not succumb to the government's attempts to intimidate and suppress it.
