The United States has seceded from the WHO, the Trump administration said in a letter

Washington, Ta. 08 July 2020 Wednesday

The United States is no longer an official member of the World Health Organization (WHO). The Donald Trump administration has sent its written decision to the WHO. This could be a huge tweak for the WHO and other countries.

The Trump administration has accused the WHO of working under China in the wake of the Corona virus outbreak. At the same time, the US government stopped funding the WHO in April.

According to US media reports, the Trump administration has sent a letter to the WHO withdrawing its membership. The United States will no longer be a member of the WHO after July 6, 2021.

According to the rules laid down in 1984, any member country can withdraw from the WHO only after one year when it withdraws its membership. In addition, the United States will not have to pay arrears to the WHO.

US President Donald Trump announced his separation from the World Health Organization in April. Funds to the WHO were also withheld with immediate effect.

The United States has accused the WHO of deliberately trying to identify the corona virus in China and declare it epidemic. At the same time, the WHO has begun to act at the behest of the Chinese government.
