Free cylinder until September

Under the government's ambitious Ujwala Yojana, the facility to provide free cylinders to more than 70 million beneficiaries has been extended till September. Providing free cylinders for another three months under the scheme will cost Rs 13,500 crore. The government had announced to provide three cylinders free of cost to the beneficiaries of Ujwala Yojana from April to June in view of the Corona crisis and lockdown. Under the Ujwala Yojana, free gas connections have been allotted in the name of women from poor families of the country.

The government will provide the amount of PF by August

The central government will provide 12-12 per cent PF amount of employers and employees' share respectively till August. The scheme is only for establishments where the number of employees is up to 100 and 90 per cent of them do not have a monthly salary of more than Rs 15,000. It may be mentioned that the government has been providing this facility since April after the lockdown started. The government's decision will provide relief to 3.67 lakh employers and 72.22 lakh employees.

Free grain until the month of November

Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) has been extended for another five months i.e. from July to November, 2020. Under this, in addition to free foodgrains to all the beneficiary families, one kg of chickpeas will be distributed free of cost every month for the next five months- July to November, 2020.
