The Kerala government has admitted that a community transmission of corona is taking place in the state.

Kerala is the first state in the country where the government has officially acknowledged that corona is being transmitted to the community and that the corona virus has spread from cities to villages.

This means that it is difficult to trace the source of the virus in Kerala and anyone can be infected in some areas. For the first time on Wednesday, 1038 cases were reported in a single day in Kerala. Since then the number of patients has increased to over 15000. Testing of 28000 people was done in Kerala on Wednesday.

1164 people have been forced to be hospitalized in a single day. According to the Kerala government, the worst situation is in Thiruvananthapuram.

In a single day on Wednesday, 758 people were infected by contact with another person, prompting the government to speculate that a community transmission of corona had begun in Kerala.
