Taiwan's military maneuvers: talk of being able to respond to Chinese incursions

Taiwan, Ta. Thursday, July 16, 2020

Tensions are running high between Taiwan and China as well as India. China is also trying to infiltrate Taiwan. Amidst these tensions, Taiwan has conducted military exercises. The Taiwanese Army, Navy and Air Force have demonstrated their strength through live fire exercises. "We want to tell China that we are not weak," said Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen. We are able to prevent intrusion on our land. If China takes any unreasonable step, it will be met with a stern response.

8,000 troops took part in Taiwan's military drill. In which the Air Force's F-16 fighter jet and indigenous fighter jet Ching Kuo demonstrated their power. The exercise was conducted in Taichung, a coastal area of central Taiwan. Which also included tanks. The study was named Han Kuang. Taiwan demonstrated this power to introduce its military strength to China. This is because China has flown its fighter jets over Taiwan several times this year amid the Corona virus epidemic.

Taiwan's navy has also studied the South China Sea with missiles and machine guns. At the same time many Navy warships were also seen at sea. China is claiming that some of Taiwan's islands fall into Chinese territory. Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen came to power in January this year. As soon as he came to power, he declared that he would never bow down to China.
