Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also decided to delete the account of Chinese social media platform Weibo after India banned 59 Chinese apps to hit China economically after China's actions in the Galvan Valley of Ladakh.

Tensions between the two countries are at an all-time high following a violent clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galvan Valley on June 15. In the wake of the incident, India on Monday banned 59 Chinese mobile apps, including Tiktok, which is very popular in India, to hit the economic front to teach China a lesson.
