-Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi harshly criticized BJP

Lucknow 22nd July 2020, Wednesday

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered Rs 10 lakh to the family of Ghaziabad-based journalist Vikram Joshi and a government job to Vikram's wife.

Vikram had lodged a complaint at the Pratap Vihar police station following the repeated molestation of his nephew by Ghaziabad journalist Vikram Joshi. Instead of taking action against the goons, the police were allegedly passing information to the goons that Vikram had lodged a complaint.

On Monday evening, Vikram was on his way to his sister's house when the goons intercepted his bike. He was first beaten and then shot in the head. Vikram died during treatment at the hospital. Successful police then arrested eight or nine people on the basis of CCTV footage. However, a young man named Akash Bihari, who is believed to be the killer, has not been caught yet.

Meanwhile, after seeing media reports, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to Vikram Joshi's family and a government job to Sadgat Vikram's wife.

On the other hand, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi and her brother Rahul Gandhi sharply criticized the BJP and especially the Uttar Pradesh government. Rahul Gandhi wrote on Twitter that journalist Vikram Joshi, who had lodged a complaint against his nephew's molester, lost his life ... I send my condolences to Sadgat's family. Yogi promised Ramrajya but gave Gundaraj..wada kiya tha Ram Raj ka diya Gundaraj ...

In the last fortnight, two major incidents involving Andhari Alam have taken place in Uttar Pradesh. First the Vikas Dube scandal and now the assassination of Vikram Joshi, the Opposition got a chance to criticize the BJP and the Uttar Pradesh government.
