Know, this unique initiative taken by Indian Railways to save electricity

Indian Railways has been working on new ideas for some time now. Meanwhile, Indian Railways has launched a unique initiative to save electricity. When the train arrives at the platform, 100% of the station lights will start on and 50% of the lights will turn off automatically on departure.

The initiative aims to reduce energy consumption and save more. This system has been started at Jabalpur, Bhopal and Narsinghpur stations of Western Railway. This information was given by the Ministry of Railways through a tweet.

Successful testing of a battery-powered engine

This is how the railways have recently built a battery-powered engine. It has also been successfully tested. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal shared a video of the engine testing on social media.

According to the railways, the engine has been built to reduce electricity and diesel consumption. Battery-powered dual mode shunting people have created 'Navdoot' in Jabalpur Mandal of West Central Railway. According to the railways, these battery-powered people will help in saving diesel as well as protecting the environment.
