India-Britain join hands for research on 5 projects after covid vaccine

India and Britain have joined hands in the field of research. The two countries have previously worked together on a number of topics related to bacteria, antibodies and are now working on 5 new projects. Under this, research will be done on antimicrobial resistance. With the help of this research, the fight against a special type of bacteria that is going on all over the world will be strengthened.

The British Minister, Lord Tariq Ahmed, has announced a grant of 4 million Euros for this research. In fact, India plays an important role in the world in areas related to research on drugs and antibodies. India is also the largest producer of antimicrobials. This is why Britain has joined hands with India to pursue research on the issue.

For this 5 projects have been planned which will start in September 2020. It will receive 4 million euros from the UK while the rest will be provided by India. The total cost of the project is shown to be 8 million euros.

According to Lord Tariq Ahmed, India and the UK are already working together for the Kovid-19 vaccine. If our clinical trial is successful we will soon start giving the world its dose. Apart from that, both the countries can do a lot for the world and that is why we have joined hands in this field. According to the British High Commissioner, Britain has been at the forefront of research and needs India's support in the medical field.

The 5 topics being researched include major projects like ELECTAR, Advanced Metagenomics, Sensors and Photocatalysis for Antimicrobial Resistance Elimination (AMSPARE), Research in Pondicherry-Chennai, AMR Flows.
