China's aggressive stance

The United States withdrew its special status to Hong Kong after China enacted a new national security law. US President Donald Trump has announced that Hong Kong will be treated like China from now on.

He also said that Hong Kong would not be given special status and no special economic relations would be maintained with Hong Kong. The Chinese Foreign Ministry had approached US Ambassador Terry Branstad to protest the move.
