Former Attorney General refuses to fight Chinese app Tick Talk case

New Delhi, July 1, 2020, Wednesday

After India banned 49 Chinese apps, including TikTok, now the Indian government is scrambling to fight TikTok legally.

However, he has already suffered a setback. Teak Talk had approached former Indian Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi to fight his case. However, Rohatgi has refused to fight Teak Talk's case, saying he would not take the case to court against the Indian government for the Chinese app.

Notably, China is abiding by international law following the ban on the app. China, which has been banning Google, Facebook and Twitter, feels that India should not ban Chinese apps.

"China is concerned about India's move and we are reviewing the situation," a Chinese foreign ministry spokesman said yesterday.
