Corona's drug was approved by DCGI, which would be the cost of one tablet

The cheapest drug for the corona virus has been developed and a drug company has been approved to market it. The drug company has been cleared by the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) to launch the drug and a tablet of the drug will be available for just Rs 59. The drug is called Faviton and is manufactured by Brenton Pharmaceutical Company.

The company claims it is an antiviral drug that will help corona patients fight corona virus. The drug is also marketed as Favipiravir. According to Brenton Pharma, Faviton will come in a 200 mg tablet and will cost Rs 59 per tablet. This price will be considered as the maximum retail price and this drug cannot be sold at a higher price.

According to Rahul Kumar Darda, CMD, Brenton Pharma, they want the drug to reach every corona patient in the country and for that they will deliver it to every covid center in the country. He further said that the price of his medicine is fixed and it is a cheap medicine.

According to the company, everyone needs Favipiravir at present. This drug will be very good for patients who have suffered from mild or moderate infection of the corona. In India, DCGI had approved Favipiravir in June in view of the emergency situation of Corona virus and now it has been allowed to be brought to the market. Brenton Pharma is partnering with Japan's Fujifilm Toyoma Chemical Company to develop a drug called Avigan, a generic version of Favitone.
