Corona tests have been performed on more than 1 crore people in 1105 testing labs in the country so far

Corona has been tested on more than 10 million people in India. ICMR Scientific and Media Coordinator Dr. A total of 10,004,101 samples were tested in the country by 11 a.m. on Monday with 180,596 tests on July 5, Lokesh Sharma said.

He said that there are currently 1105 testing labs functioning in the country, out of which 788 are government and 317 are private labs. The capacity of daily tests has also increased. 2 lakh samples are being tested on a daily basis for the last 14 days.

The number of Covid-19 Tests in India crossed 90 lakh on July 1. As many as 1.5 lakh tests were being conducted daily till May 25, Sharma said. Whose number has now reached 3 lakh per day. After starting with the National Institute of Virology in Pune, 100 labs were set up by the start of the lockdown. ICMR approved the 1000th testing lab on June 23.

According to the Ministry of Health, 24,248 cases of the virus were reported in India on Monday. After which the total number of infected patients here has crossed 7 lakh. The death toll from the corona has risen to 19,693. While 425 patients have died in the last 24 hours.
