According to a satellite image by open source intelligence analyst Detresfa, the Chinese army is located 3 km west of Focushole Point. Chinese army support camps have also been set up a few km away from the same camp.
According to another satellite image, China has strengthened its airbase in Xinjiang province, 382 km from Leh. Fighter aircraft, early warning AWACS aircraft and air defense units have been deployed here.
The aircraft deployed at the airport include the Shenyang J-8 interceptor aircraft and the Shenyang Falker. Apart from this, the AWACS deployed here include Shanaksi Y-8G and KJ-500. The Shenyang J-8 interceptor is based on a design originally stolen from Russia.
