Chinese ambassador to Nepal rescues anti-India Oli's chair

Pro-China and anti-India Prime Minister KP Sharma's campaign to save the chair has sparked controversy in Nepal following a campaign launched by Hao Yankei, China's women's ambassador to Nepal.

Demands for the resignation of Nepal's PM KP Oli are mounting within his own Communist Party, but now Yankee has openly interfered in Nepal's internal politics to save Oli's seat. Leader Madhav Kumar has met with Nepal.

However, pressure is mounting on Oli to resign. Thirty-four of the 44 members of the Nepali party have called for him to resign as prime minister.

President Vidya Bhandari is considered a supporter of Oli. Meeting with PM Oli on Thursday The President has also declared the important session of Parliament over.

There is no information in Nepal about what happened between the President and the Chinese Ambassador. As per the rules, the Nepalese President is required to inform the Ministry of External Affairs.
