Lucknow Ta. Tuesday 28 July 2020

News of the murder of journalist Vikram Joshi in Ghaziabad is still fresh as another serious crime was reported there. On Monday night, a farmer family living in Chiranjeev Vihar in Sector 8 within the limits of Kavingar police station was attacked and robbed by seven armed thugs there. The gangsters were at the house of farmer Bhopal Sharma from 2.30 pm to 4.30 am.

According to the Sharma family, the gang robbed an eight-month-old boy with a pistol after he broke into the house. The miscreants also misbehaved with two married daughters and granddaughters of Bhopal. He also molested the women by tying their limbs and punching them in the mouth. The Sharma family informed the police that the gangsters stole jewelery worth Rs 8 lakh and cash worth Rs 1 lakh. Luckily the thugs were caught on CCTV.

The family was already in a tragic situation. Six people, including Bhopal Sharma's son, daughter-in-law and grandson, were killed in the catastrophic floods in Kedarnath in 2014. Police began investigating the thugs on the basis of CCTV. The local media seized the opportunity to harshly criticize the state government. Still, on Monday, July 21, journalist Vikram Joshi, who had lodged a police complaint against a gangster who molested his niece, was stopped on the road by the gangsters that evening, first beaten to death by cattle and then shot in the head. At the time, senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi openly accused the police and the goons of colluding. Apart from that, how can the gangsters know that a police complaint has been lodged against us.

Rahul even went so far as to tweet that you promised to establish Ram Rajya but established Gundaraj ...
