Washington, Thursday, July 9, 2020

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the world's largest investigative agency, says China is the biggest threat to the United States. China is being harassed by theft and malicious campaigns to establish itself as a global superpower and has become the biggest threat to the country's information and economy, the agency said.

According to the South China Morning Post, Christopher Ray, director of the FBI, a US security agency, made serious allegations that the FBI currently has half of the 5,000 active counter-intelligence cases involving China. He also said that the current situation is that the FBI is looking at new cases related to China every 10 hours.

Christopher Ray said China is increasing its interference in America in many ways. This includes spying on economic status, data theft and illegal political activities. He said he was also trying to blackmail government employees by offering them bribes.

Christophe said Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo and the Attorney General would soon look into matters related to China. Ray said if anyone of Chinese descent in the U.S. is harassed, he can complain to the agency.

Cyber attacks have intensified around the world since the Corona virus was transmitted. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke about shutting down Chinese mobile apps in the country just two days ago.
