Attack on CRPF convoy in Pulwama, IED blast and firing target

A terrorist attack on the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has taken place in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. The militants targeted a CRPF patrol unit with an IED blast. The militants also opened fire on a patrol unit after the blast. However no casualties were reported in the attack and the entire area has been cordoned off since the attack.

The militants reportedly attacked a convoy of security forces patrolling the circular road in Pulwama. The militants first targeted the security forces with IED blasts and later started firing. Fortunately no casualties were reported in the attack.

Unidentified militants tried to target the CRPF force at 7:40 p.m. The militants planted explosives along the road to target security forces. One CRPF 182 battalion personnel sustained minor injuries in the blast. Top officials rushed to the spot after the attack and a search operation was carried out by cordoning off the entire area.

In fact, the militants are provoked by the security forces' operation in Jammu and Kashmir and that is why they are targeting the security forces. In Jammu and Kashmir, local police and security forces are conducting operations against militants. Every day in Kashmir, someone clashes with terrorists in an area. A clash between security forces and militants took place in Kulgam on Saturday in which two militants were shot dead.
