Announces new guideline to destroy mask-PPE kit in the country

The Central Pollution Control Board has issued new guidelines for the destruction of face masks, gloves, PPE kits and other waste materials used in the treatment of Covid 19.

According to experts, an average of 2 to 3 tons of covid waste is being dumped in each state every day. According to the guideline, all the masks, gloves, PPE kits and other waste materials used in the Covid-19 experiment have to be cut and wrapped in a piece of paper for 72 hours. It will then have to be disposed of.

The death toll topped 30,000 on Thursday. March 11 was the first death from corona in the country. Since then, 30,000 people have lost their lives in 135 days. So far 30 thousand 611 have died. India is now the seventh country in the world with the highest number of deaths. For every 10 lakh population, 22 people have died.
