Air India employees were hit hard, their salaries and monthly allowances were cut

Air India employees received news of a major setback. There was a huge reduction in their salaries and monthly allowances. Once again, the salaries of Air India employees were cut.

His monthly allowance was directly cut by fifty per cent. Even pilots' allowances were cut by 40 percent.

The announcement was made in an internal list released on Wednesday. The order clarified that no change would be made in the basic pay of employees, industrial dearness allowance and house rent allowance.

Earlier in March this year, the salaries of Air India employees were slashed by 10 per cent. In addition to the above allowances of general category officers, all allowances were being cut by 50 per cent, the order said on Wednesday. Similarly, allowances of general category staff and operators are being slashed by 30 per cent. All allowances of cabin crew members were being slashed by 20 per cent.

It may be recalled that Air India is already mired in huge debts. Corona finished what was left. Corona worsened the economic situation of the civil aviation sector. Many airlines were cutting their staff salaries. Some airlines sent their staff on leave without pay.

There were rumors of a sale to Air India before Corona arrived and some foreign companies started moving in this direction. Some foreign companies sent offers on their own. Some companies in the country also expressed readiness to buy Air India. But before anything concrete could happen in this direction, Corona was struck and the talk stopped in the middle.
