4.7 magnitude earthquake shakes Kargil region of Ladakh

An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale shook the Kargil region of Ladakh early Sunday morning. The epicenter was reported at 3:37 a.m. GMT, according to the National Earthquake Science Center. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Earthquakes have been felt in various parts of the country for some time now. The quake hit Alwar district of Rajasthan on Friday, July 3 in the evening. Its magnitude was 4.7 on the Richter scale. The quake was also felt in Delhi-NCR and other adjoining places and its epicenter was 35 km below the ground.

Several times tremors around Haryana, Delhi

The epicenter was reported at 4.7 on the Richter scale in Haryana's Gurugram district on Friday evening. The quake affected Gurugram as well as the adjoining national capital and NCR areas.

The epicenter was reported at 7:00 pm at 60 km southwest of Gurugram. It may be mentioned that in the last one month, Delhi-NCR has experienced several earthquakes.
