When will international flights start? The aviation minister tweeted

New delhi date. 08 June 2020, Monday

The decision to start international flights will be taken after the country relaxes the rules regarding admission of foreign nationals. Aviation Minister Hardeep Puri gave this information on Sunday. Countries such as Japan and Singapore have imposed significant restrictions on the entry of foreigners during the Corona virus epidemic.

Puri said on Twitter, "When the rules by which countries allow foreign nationals to enter us are relaxed, a decision will be made about resuming regular international flights." Destination countries should be prepared to allow incoming flights.

Domestic flights were resumed in India from May 25. Flights were previously banned for about two months due to the implementation of a lockdown to prevent the corona virus.

Air India started booking

Air India has started booking for passengers traveling to other countries of the world, including the US and Canada, from June 5 under the Vande Bharat Mission. Travel can be done from June 9 to June 30, 2020 by booking from June 5 under the government's Vande Bharat Mission. The flights will be available to several important US and Canadian cities such as New York, Chicago, Washington, San Francisco, Vancouver and Toronto.

International flights will still take time to start

Puri said it may take some time for international flights to start. Most of the metro cities in the country are in the red zone, which makes it impossible for people from outside cities to catch flights. They will also have to stay in quarantine for 14 days after arriving in the country.

At the same time, it will take time for domestic flights to reach the level of 50-60 per cent and the virus will have to be taken care of. Until then, the government will continue to bring people from abroad to the country under the Vande Bharat Mission.
