Trump kept his promise: US handed over 100 ventilators to India

Washington, June 16, 2020, Tuesday

The US on Tuesday asked India to provide ventilators amid the Corona epidemic, following which the US on Tuesday provided 100 ventilators. The cost of this ventilator is estimated at about 2 1.2 billion. Another 100 ventilators will be handed over to India by the US. It was announced on May 16 by President Donald Trump.

Ventilators play an important role in the ongoing fight against corona viruses. Ventilators are also thought to help save the lives of critically ill patients with Covid-19.

It is not clear where the US-made ventilator will be used, although there is a debate over its features. On Monday, a senior government minister said about 100 ventilators were coming from the United States in the form of donations.

These ventilators were brought by Air India aircraft. The aircraft is fully managed by the Red Cross Society. On May 16, US President Donald Trump tweeted that he was proud to announce that America would donate 100 ventilators to India. We stand with the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi during this epidemic.

We are also collaborating in vaccine development. Together we will defeat the invisible enemy Corona. A US official also announced last month that the US was going to donate a ventilator to India. Earlier, India had given drugs to the US to help fight the Corona.
