Today PM will launch self-reliant UP employment campaign, will hand out appointment letter manually

The Uttar Pradesh government is today offering employment gifts to migrant workers. According to the UP government, the government is going to provide one crore jobs in the state. The scheme has been named as Self-Reliant UP Employment Campaign. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the scheme through video conferencing at 11 pm today.

All the industrial units that were closed during the lockdown have been reopened after June 18. It will accommodate about 42 lakh workers in a total of 7,08,000 industrial units. According to Navneet Sehgal, Principal Secretary, Department of Micro and Medium Enterprises, the Yogi government is going to work on the largest employment management to date in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will give jobs to many people.

PM Modi will give job letter

According to Navneet Sehgal, all the major industrial bodies which had signed a MoU on May 29 to provide employment to a large number of migrant workers are going to employ 11 lakh migrant laborers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand over appointment letters to two lakh migrant workers from these organizations.

Under the Self-Reliant India Package, an additional 20 per cent cash loan is being made available by banks to support small, micro and medium industrial units. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will disburse loans worth Rs 5,000 crore to 221,000 units in Uttar Pradesh.

4,000 crore loan to 1.5 million new units

Apart from job fairs, Prime Minister Modi will provide loans worth about Rs 4,000 crore to 1.5 lakh new units, which are expected to provide employment to four lakh people.

Letters of appointment to 1.25 lakh workers by construction companies

According to a report, 1.25 lakh workers will be given appointment letters by private construction companies. Under the Vishwakarma Shram Sanman and ODOP scheme, 5,000 workers will be given tool kits so that these workers can become self-sufficient.

PM Modi will interact with workers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also interact with laborers and workers. According to reports, Prime Minister Modi will speak to beneficiaries from six districts, including Gorakhpur and Jalaun, and women will also share their experiences with the Prime Minister. The highest number of 35 lakh migrant workers returned to Uttar Pradesh during the lockdown.
