The Indian Army deployed against China fears a shortage of 45 items

The armies of India and China are facing this on the Ladakh border. In a bloody conflict, 20 Indian soldiers have been killed and hundreds of Chinese soldiers have been killed.

Amidst the country's resentment against China, the bitter reality is that the Indian Army lacks the 45 items it needs to set up a front on the border.

The Army has demanded that the Ordnance Factory Board of India supply the required supplies. On the other hand, 80,000 Ordnance Factory Board employees have threatened to go on strike indefinitely.

According to an English newspaper report, 20 of the 45 items the army needs are attached to ammunition for various weapons. These are items that last for ten days in the event of a fierce battle. The army does not have a stock of more than ten days. Five of the 20 different types of ammunition are supplied from the Ordnance Factory while the rest are imported.

The list of 21 other items includes a combat dress, an ECC coat for extreme cold, a special type of blanket for mountainous terrain, and a cap for glacier wear, as well as the supply of artillery guns. Corona has affected production. At the same time, 196 vehicles capable of protecting the mine have not yet reached the army.

Production in the Ordnance Factories has been affected as the supply of corona in these factories is increasing.

Even in this situation, the union of 8000 workers of 41 ordinance factories of the country says that indefinite strike should not be avoided. The strike has been declared against the corporatisation of factories. The union claims that 99 per cent workers are in favor of strike.
