The eyes of the whole world are on Indian doctors, PPEs and masks are being made in the country today: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed the Silver Jubilee program of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Karnataka. In his address, he described the Corona epidemic as the biggest crisis since World War II. At the same time, he expressed the belief that the world would change completely after the Corona epidemic, just as the world changed after the World War.

Prime Minister Modi said that earlier the issue of globalization was discussed on economic issues and now it will be necessary to discuss on the basis of humanity. In the last six years, India has taken many big decisions in the field of health and we are working on four pillars. In his address, he mentioned that more than one crore people in the country have been relieved and treated for free because of Ayushman Bharat today.

The Prime Minister said it was India's goal to launch world-class medical facilities and establish medical colleges in all the districts of the country. He said, ‘Today health workers are working like a soldier and fighting for the country. Corona virus is not visible but today the hard work of Corona Warriors is visible. The eyes of the whole world are on the doctors of India today.

The Prime Minister said that a number of important schemes including Mission Rainbow, Ayushman Bharat have breathed new life into the country's health system. He also said that PPE kits, N-95 masks are being made in the country today for the health facilities under Make in India. He also mentioned that more than 12 crore people have downloaded the health bridge application so far.

He said the ill-treatment of health workers in the country would not be tolerated and action would be taken against those who did so. Apart from that, the government has made insurance service available for health workers.
