New delhi date. 26 June 2020, Friday

The central government has re-extended the ban on the operation of international flights due to the transmission of the Corona virus. Rock on international flights will run until July 15, according to an order from the Director General of Civil Aviation.

However, international scheduled flights may be allowed on a case-by-case basis by the DGCA on certain routes. The DGCA said today that the rock does not apply to every international cargo aircraft and flights approved by the DGCA.

Notably, there has been talk for the last several days that the central government may now decide to start international flights soon after launching domestic flights. Notably, the flights operated under the ongoing Vande Bharat Mission to bring Indians stranded abroad by Air India's special aircraft will be resumed. Many countries also insisted on starting their own airline service in India.

The Union Ministry of Civil Aviation also said that applications have been received from many countries. "We have received requests from relevant authorities in many countries, including the United States, France and Germany," the ministry said in a statement a few days ago. Others are requested to allow their air carriers to participate in the transport of passengers along the line operated by Air India under the Vande Bharat Mission.

"We are investigating the request," the ministry said. We also had a June 15 conversation with representatives of the U.S. Department of Transportation and the U.S. Embassy on this issue. A reply to this request dated 19 June 2020 has now also been received. Talks were ongoing and a decision will be made soon.
