Tensions between India and China have been high in Ladakh for the past few days, but on June 15-16, tensions escalated into violent clashes in which 20 Indian Army personnel were killed. While everyone is angry over the martyrdom of the soldiers, the image of the weapons used by the Chinese soldiers to attack the Indian troops has come to the fore.

No shots were fired in the Galvan valley, but Chinese troops spotted Lag and attacked Indian troops with large sharpened rods. Looking at the picture of these weapons, it is clear that it was not a sudden collision but the Chinese manipulatively attacked the Indian soldiers with large rods with pointed nails. The bodies of several Indian Army personnel were found mutilated due to these sharp weapons.

The rods were also reportedly used by Chinese troops in clashes that broke out in early May. On June 6, the Indian and Chinese troops discussed and decided that the troops would be withdrawn after June 15. But on the evening of 15 June, the troops led by Colonel Santosh Babu, the commanding officer of the Bihar Regiment, were told to retreat by the Chinese troops and were later attacked by the Chinese troops who were already preparing for the attack.

Many Chinese soldiers were sitting on a high place so that they could easily target the Indian soldiers in the lower area. Not only that, the Chinese soldiers are already wearing some shields so that if the Indians counter-attack, they will suffer less damage. Such weapons were also kept hidden at the place where the Indian Army personnel went to negotiate.

The way China is treating this as a normal phenomenon is wrong. External Affairs Minister of India S. Jaishankar categorically blamed China for the attack and called it a premeditated attack.
