PM Modi reviews efforts to tackle Corona

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today reviewed the state of the epidemic in a meeting with senior ministers and officials in the country over the rapidly growing case of corona and its further preparations. The meeting also reviewed the measures being taken to combat Corona.

The Prime Minister was apprised of the status of Corona in all the states and Union Territories of the country, including Delhi.

The meeting also discussed the current situation in the capital Delhi and forecasts for the next two months.

Meanwhile, PM Modi advised the Union Home Minister and Health Minister to convene an emergency meeting with LG and the Delhi Chief Minister.

Senior central government officials and mayors of three corporations will also be present. The meeting will prepare a joint plan to deal with the current situation.

The PMO said in a meeting chaired by the Prime Minister that two-thirds of Kovid-19 cases were in five states, with most of the cases coming from cities.

Considering the challenge of increasing cases in big cities, there was also a discussion with Testig to increase the number of beds to meet the daily increase in cases.

PM Modi took note of the proposal on the need for district-wise bed / isolation bed by a strong group and asked the health department officials to work with all the states and union territories on the emergency plan.
