However, the move to become a Pir Baba is also said to be linked to religious beliefs. It is said that Qureshi has been practicing Pir Muridi in Multan for many years. It is said that haircuts atone for old sins. A person who does this becomes a disciple of Pir Baba.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi also demanded his commitment to include women in his party. However, a section of his video is also being criticized in Pakistan.
