Islamabad, Ta. Saturday 27 June 2020

Religious places around the world were closed due to the Corona virus outbreak. Pakistan had also decided to close the Kartarpur corridor to save the people from transition but now it has decided to reopen it for the devotees. Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has given this information.

Foreign Minister Qureshi wrote on social media platform Twitter that religious places have been opened all over the world. Therefore, Pakistan is also preparing to open the Kartarpur Sahib corridor and the Indian side has also been informed. "We are preparing to open it for the devotees on the occasion of Maharaja Ranjit Singh's death anniversary on June 29," he said.

Pakistan was accused of using fiber rather than cement and iron in the reconstruction of the domes. On the issue, Fawad Chaudhry, the science and technology minister in Pakistan's Imran government, said the matter had been referred to Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri. An immediate investigation into the whole incident was also claimed.

It is worth mentioning that according to the statistics of the year 2018, the population of Pakistan is 21.2 crore. So far, 1,13,702 cases of corona have been detected in Pakistan while at least 2,255 people have been killed. The true figure of Corona's case in Pakistan may be higher as Pakistan is far behind in terms of testing. However due to the corona the number of patients in most of the hospitals has increased and most of the hospitals are overcrowded.

In this regard, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has been opposing the lockdown. According to him, the lockdown will hit the poorest countries hardest and the poor will suffer the most. He also gave an example of the situation in India after the lockdown.
