New delhi date. Monday 22 June 2020

Amidst the ever-increasing cases in the country of Corona transition, relief news is coming. Corona cases per lakh population are the lowest in India compared to the rest of the world, the Union Health Ministry said on Monday. At the same time, the gap between active cases and recovery is widening.

The Union Ministry of Health has cited the WHO report for that. India has 30.04 cases per lakh population while the global average is three times higher at 114.67 per capita, according to a public release from the Ministry of Health. There are 671.24 cases per million in the US, 583.88 in Germany, 489.42 in Brazil and 526.22 in Spain.

The ministry said the low numbers were the result of steps taken from time to time by the Government of India with the States and Union Territories to prevent and manage Kovid-19.

The total number of transmissions in the country rose to 425,282 on Monday after 14,821 new cases of coronavirus were reported in India. The death toll rose to 13,699 from 445 patients in the last 24 hours.
