India-Nepal relations have become tense. Nepal used to import essentials from India, but now Nepal has decided to increase imports from China instead of India. Nepal will open Rasuagadhi border point to increase imports from China.

There are two border points for imports between the two countries. Due to the corona, Nepal stopped importing goods from China and both border points were also closed, but now, according to Nepalese media reports, China will supply essential goods to Nepal via Rasuagadhi border point.

There is also another border point called Totopani, from where imports and exports take place between the two countries. Citing Nepali officials, it was said that the border point between the two countries would be opened from next week.

Meanwhile, a high-level meeting of the Communist Party of Nepal was held to discuss relations with India. Many of the members present also raised the issue of why the meeting with Nepal-India was not held. However, External Affairs Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawadi said that Nepal was ready to hold a meeting with India, but India did not give any such indication.

Nepal's Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli was present at the meeting for the first two days. The meeting will proceed on Tuesday. Senior party leaders expressed displeasure over the absence of the prime minister, but the prime minister's office cited poor health.
