PM Modi today inaugurated the auction process of 41 coal mines for the private sector.
In his address, PM Modi said that a self-reliant India would reduce its dependence on imports. India will save millions of crores of rupees on imports. For this, tools and resources will be developed in the country. A big step has been taken today to make India self-reliant in the energy sector. Every announcement made by the government is being implemented within a month.
"This shows that India is serious about turning the global Corona disaster into an opportunity," he said. It is not India's nature to shed tears over a disaster. Today, not only are coal mines being auctioned for the private sector, but the coal sector is being pulled out of the lockdown. Without a strong mining sector, India will not be self-sufficient. Because the mining sector will strengthen our economy. There are 16 districts in the country with coal reserves. The people of these areas have not got the benefit they want.
