India is facing tensions on two fronts, Pakistan and China, following a violent clash with Chinese troops in the Galvan Valley.

The Indian Air Force, on the other hand, is in dire need of fighter jets to meet the challenge on two fronts. To meet this challenge, the Indian Air Force has sent a proposal to the government to purchase 21 new MiG-29s and 12 Sukhoi-30s from Russia.

In the midst of all this, Russia has said that, keeping in view India's needs, we are ready to supply these jets to India as soon as possible. According to a media report, Russia is currently upgrading the MiG-29s. Will be the equivalent of a generation of fighter jets.

The Indian Air Force is already using MiG-29s. After modernization, its carrying and flying capabilities will increase. It will be able to serve for the next 40 years.

On the other hand, India is going to buy 12 more Sukhoi 30s from Russia. India has a large fleet of Sukhoi aircraft. Now it has got the green light to equip Sukhoi with BrahMos missiles.

The Air Force believes that the structure of the MiG-29 is very strong. Besides, the deal to buy another 21 aircraft from Russia when the aircraft is familiar to Indian Air Force pilots will be beneficial for India. India will have to pay a total of Rs 6,000 crore to buy these aircraft.
