The Supreme Court made important remarks on the reservation issue during the hearing of a case on Thursday. In the case of Knit Post Graduation Reservation in Tamil Nadu, the court said that reservation is not a fundamental right. The court also refused to accept petitions filed by several political parties in Tamil Nadu.

In fact, several parties in Tamil Nadu, including DMK, CPI and AIADMK, had applied to the Supreme Court for 50 per cent OBC reservation in Tamil Nadu for a seat in a medical college under NEET, which was heard on Thursday. During the hearing, the court questioned, "Whose fundamental rights have been taken away in this case?" From your arguments, it seems that you people are only talking about the welfare of some people in Tamil Nadu. '

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party argued in court that they were asking the court not to add more reservations but to implement what is there. Justice Rao, meanwhile, said that reservation is not a fundamental right, you withdraw the petition from the Supreme Court and file it in the High Court.

"We are happy that all the political forces have come together on one issue, but we will not hear the petition," the apex court said in a statement. However, we are not dismissing the petition and giving you an opportunity to hear it before the High Court. Earlier, the apex court had remarked that reservation was not a fundamental right.
