Government's advisory on Corona's case: Domestic helpers are advised to stay home for a few days

New delhi date. 18 June 2020, Thursday

The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), which operates under the Indian Ministry of Health, has issued an advisory for the city's slums in view of the outbreak of the corona virus epidemic. It asks house helpers living in these areas to take a two-week break from their work so that they or their employers do not fall victim to the transition.

The advisory said, "Any family member working as a housemaid in the neighborhood should be requested to take two weeks off work to ensure that the employer or employee does not become infected with Covid-19." If it is necessary for them to go to work, they should come before and after going to work and wash their hands with soap and water.

Various surveys have shown that urban areas of India and especially slums are most affected by the virus. The advisory said people should stop volunteering to ensure people follow this advice so that people follow the home quarantine for a set period of time. Health officials will work with local representatives or ward members to compile a list of people advised to go home quarantine. Volunteers will be notified if anyone violates this advice.

The advisory advises all people to wash their hands continuously for at least 20 seconds and local leaders will have to investigate the spread of false rumors and misinformation related to the disease. The Centre's containment plan will be implemented if any area is facing transition. People have been asked to cooperate with health officials.

Inadequate shelter and crowds for communities are at risk for epidemics such as Kovid-19, according to government documents. Unauthorized colonies and slum groups with large populations are creating a serious humanitarian problem. The ICMR's serological survey surveyed about 1.89 per cent of urban slum dwellers and 1.09 per cent of urban slum dwellers. The survey found that the spread of SARS-COV-2 was rapidly spreading in those areas. The sero survey is performed by examining a blood sample to determine the presence of antibodies against SARS-COV-2 in the blood.
