There have been calls for a major overhaul of the police force following the death of George Floyd in police custody in the United States, and there have been peaceful protests across the country.

Violent protests against the police erupted after Floyd's death. However, violent demonstrations have now been replaced by peaceful demonstrations. According to Lisa Bender, president of the Minneapolis City Council, one thing is clear: the current police policy cannot protect our society.

On Sunday, nine of the 18 members of the Manapolis City Council voted in favor of a change in police policy. Demonstrations across the country are also demanding large-scale police reform.

According to media reports, a total of 10,000 people have been arrested across the country so far in the riots that erupted after the death of George Floyd.

A third-degree murder case has been filed against Derek Chovin, the police officer responsible for the death of George Floyd.
