Community transmission of the corona virus has begun in some parts of the country: health experts

New Delhi, 1 June 2020 Monday

A group of health experts, including AIIMS doctors and two members of the ICMR research team, say community transmission of the coronavirus in densely populated and moderately populated areas of the country has been confirmed.

This is the third and most dangerous stage of coronavirus transmission, with no idea where the infection is coming from. The government, on the other hand, has repeatedly claimed that the spread of coronavirus infection in the country has not reached the level of community transmission. The death toll from the coronavirus in the country rose to 5,394 by Monday, bringing the total number of cases to 1,90,535.

Dangerous warning in the report

Experts from the Indian Public Health Association, the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine and the Indian Epidemiological Association have submitted a compiled report to Prime Minister Modi.

The report warns that community transmission of the coronavirus has been confirmed in densely populated and moderately populated areas of the country and that it does not appear possible to eradicate Covid-19 infection at this level.

According to the report, nationwide lockdown was implemented to prevent the spread of infection and to make control effective. But in the fourth lockdown, the spread of the virus has increased due to concessions given to boost the economy.

Phases of the corona

The government believes that coronavirus is still in its second stage in India. However some health experts have confirmed the start of the third phase. In fact the corona has four stages, which are as follows:

Stage 1 - This stage of infection occurs in people who come from a country infected with the virus. This is the best time to stop the transition.

Phase II - This phase is called the phase of local transmission. It infects relatives of a person who has returned from abroad. Knowing where the virus is spreading at this stage makes it easier to stop the spread.

Stage III - This stage is called the phase of community transmission, in which people who have not traveled abroad and have not been in contact with such a person also fall victim to the infection. It is not known how the transition took place at this stage, so it is difficult to prevent.

Stage 4 - This is the last stage of any epidemic. At this stage it becomes difficult to find any compromise. The transition spreads so fast that even tough decisions are not effective.
