BSF targets Pakistani drones on border, smuggling weapons

Kashmir, Ta. Saturday, June 20, 2020

Pakistan is upset over the action taken by the Indian Army. Since then Pakistan has been constantly trying to do Reiki on the Indian border. Once again, BSF personnel have thwarted Pakistan's intention by downing a Pakistani drone. BSF jawans shot down a Pakistani drone at the Kathua border.

The drone, which came from Pakistan, also carried some weapons. One M-4 US made rifle, two magazines and 60 rounds, seven grenades were found from the drone. The delivery was for a young man named Koi Alibhai and he had his name with the eight-foot drone. According to a report, the drone was being controlled from the Pakistani side in front of the BSF's Panesar post in Kathua sector.

Only such weapons were seized from Jaish-e-Mohammed militants killed in a clash. The operation, carried out by Pakistani agencies, is aimed at inciting violence and disrupting the peace process by Jaish-e-Mohammad, a Pakistani militant active in Kashmir.

Pakistan has made similar efforts in the past for arms smuggling in other border areas, especially in Kupwara, Rajouri and Jammu.

Ceasefire violation by Pakistan

The Pakistani army opened fire several times in the Shahpur, Kasba and Kirni sectors of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir near the Line of Control (LoC) on Friday. The Indian Army had said that Pakistan had shelled the Rampur sector of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning. The Pakistani army violated the ceasefire without any provocation.
