Army President M.M. Narwane honored the soldiers who resolutely faced the Chinese army by handing over a letter of appreciation at the Forward Post in Eastern Ladakh. The army chief has been visiting Ladakh since Tuesday and met the wounded soldiers yesterday. At the same time, he applauded the soldiers and said that the work was not over yet and provided them with morale for the next battle.

Today they have reached the forward post in Eastern Ladakh and this is the same area where tensions are running high between India and China. Along with the Army President, Northern Army Commander Lt. Gen. YK Joshi and Corps Commander Lt. Gen. Harinder Singh are also present at the forward location. The army chief will take stock of the current situation at the site and discuss with the commanders stationed there.

According to sources, the clashes between the Indian and Chinese armies did not take place only on June 15, but on several occasions the troops of the two countries have clashed. Chinese troops have amassed a lot of supplies and infrastructure near Galvan Valley, Pangong Lake, but India is demanding that it be removed immediately.

The two countries' armies have been in constant talks, and a few days ago in a corps commander-level conversation, it was agreed that the Chinese army would retreat and the pre-April status would be implemented. The two countries then held talks at the diplomatic level on Wednesday.
