A war-like situation could weigh heavily on China, India, American experts say

Washington, June 18, 2020, Thursday

Thousands of Indian and Chinese troops are facing this on the Ladakh front.

Under such circumstances, experts at the Welfare Center for Science and International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School, a prestigious US think tank, believe that in a war-like situation, India could overwhelm China on the northern border.

Experts say China's strategic powers are currently dispersed. It will not be easy for China to bring troops to the border. A large part of China's military could be busy suppressing protests in Tibet and Xinjiang province, even beyond India's air defense system. The task will not be easy for China.

The last time the Chinese army fought a war against Vietnam was in 1979 and it suffered a crushing defeat. That is why China is often called the "paper tiger". .
