8 militants killed in 24 hours in Jammu and Kashmir, more than 100 militants killed this year

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have killed more than 100 militants this year, with eight militants killed in two separate encounters in the last 24 hours. Security forces killed five militants in Shopian while three militants were killed in Pampore in Avantipora.

Clashes between militants and security forces, which started on Thursday in Bandapawa area of ​​Shopian district, continued on Friday. Security forces killed five militants on Friday. Terrorists are still suspected to be hiding in the area. The firing is currently off and a search operation is underway.

Jammu and Kashmir Police DGP Jilbagh Singh said the two militants who broke into the mosque were killed. A search operation is currently underway in the area.

It is worth mentioning that the Shopian and Pampore encounter is a great success for the security forces. Security forces have killed about two dozen terrorists in the past two weeks. More than 100 terrorists have been killed so far this year.
