Amid tensions on the Indo-China border in Ladakh, China's tone is now seen softening. Earlier, the Chinese foreign minister had expressed hope that the situation on the border with India would return to normal, but now the Chinese ambassador to India has called for resolving differences through dialogue. Chinese dragons and Indian elephants can dance together, he said.

Addressing the Confederation of Young Leaders Meet of Chinese Ambassador to India Sun Widong, he expressed the need to strengthen India-China relations.

"We must never allow our differences to dominate our relationship," he said. We must resolve these differences through dialogue. "China and India are fighting Kovid-19 and we have a responsibility to deepen our relationship," he said.
