Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has signaled to extend the lockdown in Gujarat's neighboring state of Maharashtra till the end of May.

Prolonged lockdowns, especially in the red zone of the state, which includes Mumbai and Pune, where 90 per cent of Maharashtra's coro patients are, are being strictly prohibited. Thackeray held a meeting with all party leaders.

In which the leaders of BJP and deprived Bahujan Aghadi said that the Chief Minister should extend the time of lockdown. The situation in the state is serious and the matter can be extended till the end of May.

Raj Thackeray suggested that the SRPF needs to be prepared in the affected areas of Kora, while former CM Devendra Fadnavis said that the decision to open liquor shops was not appropriate given the situation in Mumbai.

Mumbai Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Friday that Mumbai would see a decline in corona cases in the next 15 to 20 days.
