The country is celebrating Eid amidst lockdown: PM Modi's best wishes

The country is currently plagued by an epidemic like the Corona virus, a number of restrictions have been imposed due to the lockdown and the country is celebrating Eid today. The Eid moon rose in the country on Sunday evening. On Monday, the country is celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr and praying for peace.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to Twitter on Monday to wish the countrymen a happy Eid. PM Modi wrote on Twitter, Eid Mubarak, Eid ul Fitr to all of you. This special occasion will bring brotherhood and peace in all our lives. Everyone stay healthy and happy.

Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ramnath Kovinde also wished the countrymen a happy Eid. The President wrote that this time while celebrating Eid, in view of the crisis of Koro, it is necessary to observe social distance.


Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, BSP president Mayawati and other leaders wished the countrymen a happy Eid.

Eid-ul-Fitr is the biggest festival for the Muslim community. Which is celebrated after the end of the month of Ramadan. The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated by observing the moon after observing the 29th or 30th day of Ramadan.

After completing 30 days in all the Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia and UAE, Eid was celebrated on 24th May by seeing the moon while in India on 24th May Eid was observed. After which Eid is being celebrated on May 25.
