The government's decision has come as a relief to sculptors who already have a stockpile of sculptures made of plaster of Paris. It is worth mentioning that the plaster of Paris statues do not dissolve quickly in water. It causes a lot of damage to the environment. In it, the Central Pollution Control Board banned sculptures made of plaster of Paris, plastic or thermocol.
This year Ganesha will be established on 22nd August and dissolved on 1st September. During the establishment and dissolution of Ganesha, Ganesha Yatra originates from different parts of the country. In Maharashtra, millions of small and large idols are dismantled on the occasion of Ganeshotsav.
