Pak in POK, China active in Ladakh together: Conspiracies like Kargil feared

New Delhi, 23rd May 2020 Saturday

In Ladakh, there is a conflict between Indian and Chinese troops on the Line of Actual Control (LAC). While China is building a bunker in the Finger Area area near Pengong Tso Lake, it has infiltrated Indian territory at six locations in the Galwan region. At a time when China is taking an aggressive stance on India's northern border, Pakistan is also rocking up additional troops and artillery in the POK. Experts believe this may not be a coincidence. The simultaneous activation of both the neighboring countries is raising fears of a big conspiracy like Kargil for India. Amid strained relations with China, Army Chief Mukund Narwane visited Ladakh on Saturday and met top officials to review the situation.

Defense experts believe that coordination between the LoC with China and the Line of Control with Pakistan is being coordinated and cannot be called a coincidence. This is why security agencies are keeping a close eye on these activities. Extra precautions are being taken at all the borders so that the two neighbors can respond to any conspiracy. In a tense atmosphere between China and Pakistan, Army Chief Mukund Narwane visited Ladakh on Saturday and met with top officials of the Northern Command to review the situation.

Sources said tensions have risen in the Galwan region of Ladakh after heavier military vehicles appeared than ever before. Chinese troops have violated Indian territory at 9 points in Ladakh. It includes 17 petrol points and a location near the strategically important Gogra post. Reports indicate that there are more than 200 Chinese troops at each of these spots, even within Indian territory.

The Indian Army has also deployed more troops in the area following the deployment of Chinese troops. There are also reports that China is building a bunker in the Finger Area near Pengong Tso Lake. Indian troops have been patrolling in areas from Finger 6 to 8 for many years while Chinese troops have been patrolling in areas from Finger 4. Now China is building a bunker between Finger 6 and 8, with the aim of preventing Indian troops from reaching other areas.

The move by Pakistan and China on the LAC and LOC is reminiscent of the Kargil war. At a time when India was beating Pakistan in Kargil, China was on the shores of Pangong Tso Lake in a record five km. Had made a long way.

Former Deputy National Security Advisor S. D. The minister said the China-Pakistan alliance could hurt Indian efforts to recapture POK and Aksai Chin. Both these areas are very important for CPEC, the ambitious project of Chinese President Xi Jinping. In addition, these areas are important for limiting India's influence in Afghanistan.

Experts, meanwhile, believe that Chinese troops are preventing India from making its way into Indian territory, not only strategically but with a special purpose. In fact the mountainous areas of Ladakh are rich in precious metals like uranium, granite, gold and rare earth. Gogra Post has a 'Golden Mountain' near the place where the conflict between India and China is going on in the Galwan region of Ladakh. The area has not been surveyed due to the tense situation between the two countries, but it is believed that many precious metals, including gold, are hidden in the area. There are high quality uranium deposits in many areas. This uranium is useful for making nuclear power as well as for making atomic bombs. An examination of a sample of Ladakh rocks in a German lab in 2006 revealed that 4.5 per cent uranium was found in it.
