Corona outbreaks due to return of foreign workers: Patients increase in many states

One lakh cases of corona were reported in the country in a month

Indians from abroad also contributed to the spread of Corona

Outbreaks of corona virus are on the rise in India. In a single day, 12 deaths have been reported from corona in the country and 2,200 new cases have been reported. With this, the total number of corona patients has gone up to 1,5,50 while the total death toll has gone up to 8,8. Given the rapid rise in the number of corona cases in the country, India is expected to join the list of the world's top 10 corona infected countries on Sunday. India is currently ranked 11th in the list. More than one lakh cases of corona have been reported in India in the last one month while more than 3,000 have lost their lives.

In the last one week, more than 2,500 cases of corona have been reported daily in the country and more than 150 deaths have been reported from various states. One of the reasons behind the sharp rise in the Corona case in the last one week is the repatriation of foreign workers. In many states, Koro transitions include returning workers in special trains and buses. This is the first case of corona in Sikkim in such a long time. A 7-year-old student returning from Delhi tested positive for corona, a senior official said. This is the first case of corona in Sikkim since it was first reported in India on January 20.

With the return of expatriate laborers to their homeland in the country, the situation is now such that the number of coronary patients has been steadily increasing since the expatriate laborers arrived in their villages. In Uttar Pradesh, there has been a sudden surge in the number of coronary positive patients, while in Bihar, about 4 per cent of those infected are said to be returning laborers. The biggest concern with the return of laborers is the spread of corona even in small towns. Earlier the spread of corona in small towns and villages of the country was slow, but now more and more corona positive people are being found there every day.

Another major reason for the spread of corona is the Indians on special flights from abroad along with foreign laborers. With the rising number of cases of corona, local air service is also starting from Monday and many people have expressed the possibility of increasing the risk of corona. Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Puri said some states have demanded delays in starting domestic flights. The health ministry said the Covid-18 figures showed that 1 lakh cases of corona had been reported in the country in the last one month and the death toll had risen to more than 3,000.

As of April 8, there were 2,800 cases of corona in India and the death toll was eight. The highest number of corona cases in the country has been reported in Maharashtra, where the number of corona patients is set to reach close to 50,000. Twelve policemen, including an officer, were killed in the incident.
